Location: McKeesport, PA
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Typically 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM during the school year and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM during the summer; hours may vary.Position Summary
The Teen Development Professional supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs designed to help teens succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This role works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can develop leadership, life, and workforce readiness skills.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Utilize trauma-informed and restorative practices when working with youth.
  • Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
  • Maintain program documentation and case notes.
  • Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to promote programming.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Passion for positive youth development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches.
