Position Profile

Weaver seeks a Transaction Tax Senior Associate to join our growing team. The Transaction Tax Advisory team at Weaver helps private equity, strategic and founder-owned clients identify potential tax exposures and understand key tax considerations through the entire transaction process.ย 

A Transaction Tax Senior Associate will work efficiently to obtain technical tax knowledge to assist clients in a variety of M&A transactions. The candidate will conduct research on applicable laws and write memorandums in an easy-to-understand format.

The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is transaction focused, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter, and understand that busy-season for transaction-related work is often different from a typical tax busy season.ย 

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years in public accountingย 

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: ย 

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Accounting or JD/LLM
  • Experience conducting tax research
  • Excellent written communication skills
