Job description

Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation - USA has an exciting opportunity for a Transaction Specialist. This position is responsible for supporting activities of the Commercial Finance Risk (Wholesale) team within YMFC-US. The Transaction Specialist will review Commercial Finance transactions for accuracy and will ensure that all transactions are processed and completed on time. The Transaction Specialist will also assist with reporting and other tasks.
What you'll be doing:
  • Oversight of all manners of payments, applications, allocations, disbursements, payment disputes and identify potential inaccurate payment transactions.
  • Assists with the day-to-day tasks including, investigating customer concerns, invoice/billing disputes, provide detailed answers, resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Update and/or correct interest rates and terms in accounts receivable systems of record
  • Review and process commencements, extensions, deferments, and payoffs timely and accurately.
  • Respond to emails from the shared email box throughout the day and ensure timely communication when issues arise and upload documents to the account record (as needed).
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of processing credit disputes and corrections received from portfolio & servicing teams.
  • Support the Commercial Risk (Wholesale) team with projects, additional tasks, and special assignments.

What you need to be successful:
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 4 years of experience in customer service, data entry in the Powersports and/or Leasing industry preferred.
  • Some Accounting background is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
  • Must be able to work independently, follow through with minimum direction and follow up on own initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency, multitask, meet deadlines with accuracy and adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills
