Associate Specialist, BPS Operations Processing

About the Role
You will support critical payment operations with a focus on pension and recurring transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong operational controls. This role plays a key part in maintaining processing integrity while enhancing quality assurance and workflow efficiency. You will act as a senior operational resource, supporting processors and improving procedures. Success is measured by error-free processing, strong controls, and continuous process improvement.

What You Will Be Doing
Review pension and recurring payments to ensure timely and accurate processing
Monitor daily transaction workflows and confirm all payments are completed within required timelines
Establish, maintain, and update operational procedures and documentation
Develop and implement quality control processes for onshore operations teams
Perform quality assurance reviews and provide feedback to processors
Serve as a senior support resource for processors, resolving complex issues and questions
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payment processing and status updates
Participate in cross-functional meetings to address operational performance and improvements
Identify and implement enhanced controls and automation opportunities
Track exceptions and ensure issues are resolved through full lifecycle management

Required Qualifications
Experience in financial services operations, with emphasis on payment or transaction processing
Hands-on experience with pension or recurring payment processing workflows
Strong knowledge of operational controls, quality assurance, and risk mitigation practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to support internal and external stakeholders
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in high-volume environments
High attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in transaction processing
Ability to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and drive process improvements
Proficiency with payment processing systems or similar operational platforms

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Advantage or similar payment processing systems
Background supporting or mentoring operations teams
Familiarity with automation and process improvement initiatives
Experience working in regulated financial environments
Knowledge of pension products and payment structures
