We are looking for a detail-oriented Real Estate Transactions Paralegal to support a legal practice in Sayreville, New Jersey on a *FULLY ON-SITE* Contract basis. This role focuses primarily on commercial and residential real estate matters, with a significant emphasis on land development work, while also assisting with litigation-related tasks and administrative legal support. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, experience handling transactional files, and confidence working with legal technology and document management tools.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate documentation and file management for commercial and residential real estate transactions from initial intake through closing.
• Prepare, review, and organize legal materials related to land development matters, which will make up a substantial portion of the workload.
• Maintain case and matter records using legal case management software, ensuring deadlines, status updates, and key documents are tracked accurately.
• Assist attorneys with litigation support activities, including discovery preparation, document compilation, and research support.
• Draft routine legal correspondence, forms, and transactional documents with close attention to accuracy and formatting.
• Handle document exchange and secure file distribution through shared document platforms to support efficient collaboration.
• Perform legal and property-related research using online research tools and summarize findings for attorney review.
• Provide administrative and secretarial support as needed, including scheduling, filing, and general matter coordination.
• At least 2 years of paralegal experience, within real estate law (Commercial/Residential/Land Development).
• Practical experience supporting commercial real estate and residential real estate transactions.
• Familiarity with land development matters and related legal documentation.
• Working knowledge of litigation support and discovery processes.
• Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office, legal research platforms, and secure document-sharing systems.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written communication skills and careful attention to detail in legal documentation.
