Position Summary

The Real Estate Transaction Paralegal position supports the legal department by coordinating and facilitating real estate transaction lifecycles across the company's portfolio, including multifamily assets, manufactured housing communities, and RV parks. This role is responsible for managing the real estate transaction process from due diligence through closing, ensuring documentation and timelines are accurately maintained, and timely execution. In addition, this position provides broad paralegal support across the legal department, contributing to a variety of legal, transactional and operational matters.

In addition to real estate transaction coordination, this position provides comprehensive paralegal support across the legal department. Responsibilities include assisting with entity formations, DBA filings, easement reviews, BOI compliance filings, preparing legal documents for court filings, supporting small claims matters, managing legal notices, and active litigation tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Investment Property Group in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Support the full lifecycle of real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing, including acquisitions, dispositions and refinances.
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence efforts, including tracking deliverables, timelines, and third-party vendors.
  • Assist with preparation of PSA’s, LOI’s, closing documents, and other transactional materials.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain transaction-related documents and closing materials.
  • Order, track, and review title and environmental reports, and assist with issue resolution.
  • Provide general paralegal support to the legal department across a range of legal and operational matters.
  • Support entity management activities, including formations, DBA filings, and corporate record maintenance.
  • Manage and assist with BOI filings and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Review and support negotiation of vendor, service, and cable contracts.
  • Manage and track legal notices, compliance items, and active litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, leadership, asset management) to support legal and transaction needs across the portfolio.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Real estate experience is required, preferably in transactions, title & escrow, or legal support.
  • Experience supporting legal and paralegal function is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and due diligence.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with legal teams, operations, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to develop policies, advise management, and support business objections.
  • Skilled in research, planning and supporting legal proceedings such as small claims.
  • Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
