The Branch Manager oversees daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals. This involves promoting sales, delivering excellent customer service, nurturing inventory levels, and balancing expenses through purchase supporting. Additionally, the Branch Manager fosters facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, empowering team members in providing efficient customer service, maintaining good housekeeping, and harmonizing overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
  • Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
  • Support the flow of accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
  • Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
  • Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
  • Process orders accurately and coordinate timely product delivery.
  • Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, ensuring the confidence that all associates can perform essential branch functions.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management.
  • Nurture customer relationships and foster understanding to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Guide, develop, and support team members in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven managerial experience in a customer-facing environment, coupled with demonstrated expertise in Profit and Loss (P&L) management and the strategic use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance.
  • People Management: Guide, develop, and support team members in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws, fostering an environment of continuous growth and collaboration.
  • Conflict Resolution: Nurture customer relationships and foster understanding to address concerns openly, creating alignment and delivering exceptional customer care.
  • Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools. The ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently
  • Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions and experience in the welding industry.
  • Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support.
  • Computer experience or basic knowledge of SAP.
