Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a junior Energy Transactions Associate to join a leading law firm in Houston. This role offers hands-on experience working on complex domestic and international energy deals across oil & gas, renewables, and emerging energy sectors.


Responsibilities

  • Support M&A, project development, and project finance transactions
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating energy and project-related agreements
  • Work on domestic and cross-border energy matters
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple offices and disciplines

Qualifications

  • 1.5โ€“2 years of legal experience (energy experience a plus)
  • J.D. with strong academic credentials
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
