Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Records Project Specialist to support a critical, time-sensitive records project. This role will assist with gathering and organizing payroll and employee records for an ongoing legal matter. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large volumes of information, and able to follow detailed processes accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and pull payroll-related records from Paycom and Excel.
  • Search employee and supervisor emails for communications regarding timecards, paychecks, or payroll issues.
  • Download and save applicable records as PDFs for documentation.
  • Pull and organize:
  • Employee timecards
  • Paystubs
  • Pay changes
  • Personnel Action Forms (PAFs)
  • Compensation records
  • Conduct bulk pulls of historical paystubs and compensation information.
  • Review available timecard history for each employee based on their employment period.
  • Search PAF records and identify transactions involving changes or movement of money.
  • Print/save applicable PAFs and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and organization throughout the project.
  • Work toward a production expectation of approximately one employee file per hour.
  • Handle confidential payroll and employee information with discretion.
  • Previous experience with payroll, HR, records management, or administrative data projects preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and meet daily productivity expectations.
  • Comfortable working independently on repetitive, highly detailed tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
