Job description

Summary of Position:

The DC Project Supervisor is responsible for on-site management of the utility construction project so that it is completed within budget, on schedule, and with zero incidents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforce all Company, OSHA and other applicable procedures and standards
  • Set daily production goals and expectations with Foreman of project
  • Know the contract scope including standard and special provisions, technical specifications, payment and change clauses and scheduling milestones
  • Track and communicate changes in scope to Project Manager
  • Purchase essential materials for the job per the PO. Authorized, outside of those materials specifically called out in the job estimate, up to $500.00.
  • Complete all administrative documentation in a timely and accurate manner (including safety audits and observations, time entry approval, review redlines, review production, etc)
  • Promptly complete authorization of all invoices, receipts, and fuel charges
  • Involved in the recruitment, hiring, development, and termination of employees on the crew
  • Improve personal, technical, and supervisory skills through personal development plans and offered trainings
  • Represent and promote the company’s mission, vision, and values
  • Address all customer questions or concerns
  • Perform labor and operating duties when needed
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid DOT health card
  • Previous utility construction experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to use computers /electronic devices
  • Able to read blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
