Job description

About Integrated Real Estate Group (IREG)

Innovation Through Integration.

Integrated Real Estate Group (IREG) is a vertically integrated real estate company with more than 1,200 employees across 46+ communities - and growing.

For over 20 years, we’ve developed and operated multifamily and senior living communities across Texas and Oklahoma, delivering more than 15,000 units and $2 billion in total development.

What sets IREG apart is our integrated approach, bringing together development, construction, and operations to create high-performing communities across affordable housing, workforce housing, and market-rate living, including multifamily, active adult, independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

At IREG, innovation isn’t just what we build, it’s how we operate, grow, and develop our people.

We build communities and develop the people who lead them.

Launch Your Career in Senior Living Sales

Build a rewarding career while learning from experienced sales leaders through IREG's structured Sales-in-Training (SIT) Program.

This paid development program combines hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional coaching to prepare future Sales Counselors for long-term success. Whether you're early in your career or bringing valuable life experience from another industry, we'll provide the training, support, and real-world experience needed to grow into a successful senior living sales professional.

About the Opportunity

The Sales-in-Training (SIT) Program is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the full senior living sales process while preparing future Sales Counselors through structured training, mentorship, and real-world experience.

In this role, you’ll work closely with experienced sales and operational leaders to learn prospect engagement, relationship development, occupancy growth strategies, community marketing, and resident experience. You’ll gain practical experience supporting tours, outreach efforts, referral development, and move-in coordination while learning how to guide prospective residents and families through important life transitions with professionalism and compassion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is coachable, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and eager to grow within a people-centered environment.

Throughout the approximately six-month program, you'll progress through structured learning modules, receive ongoing mentorship from experienced Sales Counselors, Executive Directors, and Regional Sales Leaders, and gradually assume greater ownership of the sales process as your skills develop.

Progress is measured through hands-on experience, coaching, structured feedback, and demonstrated readiness—not simply time spent in the role. Successful graduates are placed into a Sales Counselor position within their assigned region.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be placed into a Sales Counselor position at one of our communities within the Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston region based on business needs and program availability.

What You’ll Own
  • Learn and support the complete IREG senior living sales process from initial inquiry through resident move-in
  • Manage short- and long-term prospect follow-up activities
  • Conduct outbound outreach calls and assist with converting inquiries into scheduled appointments and tours
  • Support occupancy and average daily census (ADC) growth initiatives
  • Assist with sales presentations, prospect appointments, and community tours
  • Build relationships with prospective residents, families, referral partners, and community contacts
  • Participate in outreach initiatives, referral development efforts, marketing activities, and special events
  • Conduct timely follow-up communication through phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Maintain accurate lead, referral, and sales activity documentation within CRM systems
  • Support move-in coordination and resident transition activities
  • Assist with competitor research, pricing surveys, and local market analysis
  • Help ensure the community remains tour-ready and welcoming for residents and guests
  • Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Program Highlights
  • Approximately six-month paid development program
  • Structured learning curriculum with progressive responsibility
  • One-on-one mentorship from experienced Sales Counselors
  • Weekly coaching and leadership feedback
  • Hands-on experience across multiple senior living communities
  • Exposure to Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care
  • Placement into a Sales Counselor role upon successful completion of the program
  • Structured learning modules with milestone assessments throughout the program

Location and Host-Site Placement

This position is part of our Sales-in-Training program and will be based at one of our designated host communities within the Dallas–Fort Worth or Houston market. Host-site placement will be determined based on current business needs, available training opportunities, and the candidate’s home location.

Team members must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel to select communities within their assigned host-site market, as needed.

What Success Looks Like
  • Prospective residents and families feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout the sales process
  • Leads are consistently followed up with in a timely and professional manner
  • Community tours and prospect interactions are organized, polished, and relationship driven
  • Sales activity and prospect documentation remain accurate and up to date
  • The sales team receives strong day-to-day operational and administrative support
  • Occupancy growth initiatives, outreach efforts, and community events are executed with professionalism and urgency

Who This Role Is For
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, leasing, admissions, healthcare, or relationship-focused roles preferred; senior living experience highly valuable
  • Candidates with exceptional leadership experience, military service, entrepreneurship, hospitality backgrounds, or meaningful life experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability and willingness to travel between communities throughout the assigned training region
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Naturally personable with strong relationship-building ability
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable speaking with prospective residents, families, and community partners
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable learning CRM and lead management systems
  • Senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer experience exposure is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated compassion for seniors and interest in serving the aging population preferred

What Sets You Apart
  • Positive, coachable, and eager to learn
  • Strong emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • Adaptable in fast-paced, people-centered environments
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Team-oriented with a service-focused mindset
  • Motivated to grow into a long-term career within senior living sales and operations

What You'll Gain
  • Professional mentorship from experienced sales leaders
  • Exposure to multiple senior living communities and operating models
  • Real-world sales experience with increasing responsibility
  • A structured pathway into a full-time Sales Counselor career
  • Long-term growth opportunities within one of Texas' largest senior living organizations

Why This Role

This isn't simply an entry-level sales position—it's a structured career development program designed to prepare future Sales Counselors through mentorship, hands-on experience, and progressive responsibility.

If you're looking for an organization that invests in your growth while providing a clear path into senior living sales, the Sales-in-Training Program offers an exceptional opportunity to launch your career.
