Pay: $16.00/hr.

Location: 5168 Ezell Rd., Graceville, FL., 3244

Status: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7AM-3:30PM

Position Summary:

Reports to the deputy warden, programs.Β  Performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, systems and procedures related to programs administration in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), and Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) directives.Β 

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for clerical tasks, systems and procedures related to facility programs.
  2. Perform data entry with accuracy, and draft correspondences as required.
  3. Perform duties to include composing reports and letters.
  4. Proofread material to verify accuracy or make corrections when needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records and files, forms and correspondence sent, received and/or requiring further action.
  6. Assist programs specialist in preparing required reports for contractual compliance.
  7. Maintain appropriate office supplies for the department.
  8. Operate office equipment, including computers, fax machine, and copier.
  9. Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone and convey messages.
  10. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
  11. Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.Β  One (1) year experience in an education program setting preferred.Β  Computer knowledge required.Β  Valid driver's license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.Β 

Post Hire Requirements:

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
