Job description

Responsibilities include overall supervision of Care Managers and other assigned staff. Recruitment, interviewing and hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling staff. The Program Manager also oversees on-going security and safety of the facility, accountability for the resident population, and supervising the orientation of all new residents and staff.

Scope of Duties:

  1. Supervise assigned staff including the completion of performance evaluations and regularly scheduled supervisory sessions.
  2. Assist Director in conducting on-site training and staff development programs.
  3. Assess training needs of assigned staff, schedule training as needed, and ensure attendance at scheduled training.
  4. Create monthly staff coverage schedules and arrange for call out and emergency coverage when necessary.
  5. This position requires on call duties. Respond to all pages and calls from program staff.
  6. Provide emergency coverage when necessary.
  7. Ensure fire safety compliance.
  8. Collaborate with outside agencies to meet the needs of the facility with Director's approval.
  9. Ensure facility cleanliness.
  10. Schedule and conduct regular facility inspections.
  11. Conduct contraband searches of the facility under the Director's supervision.
  12. Document facility maintenance and life safety equipment needs as per (Central Maintenance) policy.
  13. Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll information (time sheets and all personnel actions) on assigned staff in the required timeframe.
  14. Oversee the security of the facility and monitor the sign in/out procedures.
  15. Oversee bed arrangements for all new residents, as well as residents requesting transfer into another living area.
  16. Responsible for ensuring adequate meals are available for clients.
  17. Oversee the monitoring of all medication to clients and the documentation in the Medication Log. Ensure shift change is occurring daily.
  18. Provide support to the Director.
  19. Facilitate and/or co-facilitate House Government meetings.
  20. Interact (verbally and non-verbally) with clients, staff, and community members professionally with respect and courtesy.
  21. Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
  22. Attend and participate at regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, training sessions and meetings as required.
  23. Other duties as assigned.
