Position Details

Position: Program Director – Receiving Hope Center
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Department: Receiving Hope Center
Reports To: Senior Director of Clinical & Youth Services
Location: Receiving Hope Center – Atlanta, GA

Schedule
  • Full-time salaried position (40 hours per week)

  • Schedule includes occasional early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends to support program operations.

  • Participation in an on-call leadership rotation is required.

  • Attendance at organization meetings throughout the Metro Atlanta area.

About the Role

The Program Director provides strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of Wellspring Living's Receiving Hope Center, ensuring exceptional care for participants while leading a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence.

This role is responsible for the overall success of the program, including staff leadership, participant care, regulatory compliance, program development, budgeting, and operational excellence. The Program Director partners closely with clinical leadership to create a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where every participant has the opportunity to heal and thrive.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, supervise, and develop the program leadership and direct care teams.

  • Recruit, interview, and recommend mission-driven candidates for employment.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and healthy team culture aligned with Wellspring Living's mission and values.

  • Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.

  • Lead weekly staff meetings and coordinate required training initiatives.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, leadership development, and mindset training to promote employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Program Operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Receiving Hope Center.

  • Ensure participants receive high-quality, trauma-informed care and services.

  • Maintain appropriate staffing coverage and respond to emergencies or crises, including providing direct support when needed.

  • Lead participant community meetings and multidisciplinary clinical meetings.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized service plans.

  • Promote a culture of safety, consistency, and excellence throughout the program.

Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable licensing and regulatory requirements, including RCCL, DJJ, OPM, and DMST standards.

  • Lead internal investigations and develop corrective action plans as necessary.

  • Monitor program quality and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure policies, procedures, safety standards, participant documentation, and emergency preparedness requirements are consistently followed.

Program Development & Community Engagement
  • Evaluate and strengthen program curriculum, services, and operational processes.

  • Partner with organizational leadership to achieve strategic and programmatic goals.

  • Manage program budgets in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.

  • Represent Wellspring Living through community partnerships, tours, donor engagement, and fundraising events.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in human services or social service delivery.

  • At least three years of leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Experience serving youth or young adults impacted by trauma, commercial sexual exploitation, human trafficking, or other complex trauma.

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and strength-based care practices.

  • Working knowledge of Georgia childcare licensing and regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required pre-employment screenings and maintaining compliance throughout employment, including:

  • Required health screening documentation.

  • Eligibility to work with children and vulnerable populations in accordance with all applicable state regulations.

Physical & Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.

  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.

  • Ability to facilitate trainings, meetings, and participant activities.

  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.

  • Moderate local travel throughout the Metro Atlanta area and occasional travel for meetings and professional development.

  • Availability to respond to emergencies and participate in the leadership on-call rotation.

  • Ability to safely perform and assist with approved physical crisis intervention, participant restraints, and physical escorts in accordance with organizational policies, required training, and applicable regulations.
