Starting Pay: $18-$19DOE
Who We're looking for
We're seeking Full-Time Peer support training Coordinator to ensure the provision of quality services in the Peer Support Training program, including marketing, completing enrollments, instructing the training, documentation and completing reports. The peer support training coordinator will also assist in the Work Adjustment Training program as needed, including the on-site workshop, off-site enclaves and at the Arizona State Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards, agency procedures, Federal/State/Local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed. Adhere to current training requirements and applicable accreditation and licensing/regulatory standards and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health (HITECH ) requirements.
  • Coordinate information and contribute to the successful resolution of challenges. Communicate with integrity and honesty, clearly and concisely, and in a respectful manner to all team members. Ensure the confidentiality of written, verbal and electronic communications pertaining to members, staff, families of consumers and agency operations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional, respectful, productive working relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members, funding sources, individuals receiving services, families utilizing or enquiring about services, funding sources and the community.
  • Provide prompt and accurate information and referrals to appropriate sources for inquiries.
  • Coordinate the intake and orientation of new individuals in the Peer Support Training Program, including, maintaining current knowledge of the case records of individuals receiving services, coordinating referrals to appropriate resources as needed, and adhering to the philosophy of normalization and community integration.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and adherence to agency policy and procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in the area of social services, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Peer Support Credential preferred, or the ability to become credentialed once hired.
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated responsible administrative experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with individuals with mental health challenges and/or substance abuse issues. May include volunteer work and/or personal lived experience.
  • Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire. (If a Good Cause Exception is required, this must be taken care of BEFORE hire date.)
