Job Summary
The Manager in Training is responsible for helping the Branch Manager in day-to-
day operations. The position works closely with the Branch Manager in preparing
and organizing the completion of daily work and the management of the Technical
and Marketing Departments.
The Manager in Training must have excellent management skills such as problem
solving, communication, leadership, time management and team building. Every
task contributes towards the overall goal of delivering a great service to our
customers, by a well-trained staff of lawn technicians in a timely and cost-effective
manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensures a safe workplace is provided for all employees by ongoing training

and adherence to company policies
  • Quality Control compliance to ensure service standards are met according to

company policy
  • Plan and conduct new hire and on-going training for lawn service personnel

in customer service skills, technical skills, safety policies and procedures
  • Effectively coach, train and develop future leaders within department
  • Work with administration and management team to facilitate recruiting,

interviewing and selecting the best talent that fits our company culture
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly tracking of all goals established in the Business

Plan
  • Manage progressive discipline and accountability standards consistent with

company policy
  • Conduct Performance Reviews
  • Effectively partner with your peers as a resource to help in their goal

achievements
  • Conduct Daily and Weekly Production department meetings
  • Conduct Pre/Post trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensures current licensing is maintained by all department employees as

required by company policy/State and/or Federal law
  • Help Recruit and train Door Knockers for our Marketing Season

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent leadership skills in team building, selecting talent, training,

mentoring, executing goals and developing future leaders

  • Practical knowledge of lawn service industry and experience in developing

and executing production plans

  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook,

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Have 1-2 or more years of related experience in

lawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care services preferred, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
  • Certificates, Licenses and registrations as required by federal and state law.

Must possess or obtain as a requirement.
  • Valid, permanent driver's license from state of residence and a clean driving

record per company standards are required.
