Job description

JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for assisting the Training and Development Officer with training, onboarding and professional growth for existing and new employees. This role will provide support related to coordinating schedules, maintaining training materials, tracking attendance and completion, and communication between departments and the Training Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in planning, scheduling and coordinating employee training sessions (both in-person and virtual)
  • Prepare and distribute training materials and handouts
  • Assists in onboarding coordination for new hires and ensures training plans are completed, and the employee is proficient in the training topics
  • Assist with training invitations, room reservations and technology setup
  • Track training session attendance and participant feedback
  • Play a key role with onboarding and training new employees
  • Serves as liaison between branch teams and the training department to coordinate and monitor on-going in-branch training
  • Responsible for assisting employees with using the bank's learning management system
  • Supports audit preparation with documentation
  • Stays current on training and development topics by attending conferences and seminars, reading relevant articles and books, professional membership, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance within area of responsibility
  • Completes other projects and assignments as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in business or education strongly preferred or equivalent combination of training and banking experience
  • Experience in retail and/or commercial banking
  • Working knowledge of all areas of the bank including lending, deposit and operational activities and other lines of business preferred
  • 2+ years training experience in a classroom setting and/or on-the-job training environment preferred
  • Experience with Canva, Prezi (AI powered power point) preferred and will be required to learn.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to speak in front of groups, individuals and managers in a clear, welcoming and professional manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Power Point; knowledge of bank systems, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and employees
  • Ability to instruct others in a formal or one on one environment
  • Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulations at Federal, State, and local levels
  • Knowledge of BAI Learning Management System preferred
  • Some travel, including occasional overnight, is required
