The Associate Director, Commercial Training, Rare Disease is responsible for the development of all products, disease state, competitive landscape & skills training for all field personnel within the Rare Disease Portfolio. The role involves development, operational planning and implementation of the full annual training program, primary facilitation of training classes, pull through of learning programs and skills training for field leadership and clinical sales specialists.The Associate Director is responsible for agency project management and execution of newly developed training programs, including management of legal, regulatory & medical approval process of various training initiatives. Collection of best practices from global colleagues, and U.S. franchises are also in the scope of the role.WHAT - Main ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and execute the delivery of field force training programs for the Rare Disease commercial team(s), including New Hire Training, Sustainment Training, and NSM/POA training.Implement and enhance Rare training program, including evolution of the RARE training brandAssess employeesโ€™ skills, talents, performance and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvementOversee the training in all key areas of Rare training operations, including ordering of training materials, stocking, and shipping training materialsResearch new training materials and tactics that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our employeesOn-board new hires and assign them training curriculum; suggestions of program enhancement are expectedIdentify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that trainingSearch for gaps in training material or content and identify opportunities for improvement to create a best-in-class training experienceCollaboration with marketing, sales, and other departments to drive program development and implementation is a mustContribute to the design, development, and analysis of training across functions and support efforts that drive improvements in field force effectivenessWork closely with the HR team BOS Training Development Lead to maintain and deliver training content via the following platforms: IPSEN Global Learning Platform (iLearn LMS)ACTO rapid eLearning development and deploymentACTO iPad applicationFacilitate on boarding to other essential systems for execution (Veeva, iEngage etc.)Manage administration and execution of certificationDevelop measurement of training effectiveness and implement throughout all training activitiesMonitor program budgets and upwardly manage project scope as neededHOW - Knowledge & ExperienceKnowledge & Experience (essential):At least 8 years biopharma commercial experienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in Rare Disease therapeutic areaStrong facilitation & presentation skillsKnowledge of selling principlesKnowledge & Experience (preferred):Regional Field Trainer experience is a plusGI/Hepatology experience strongly preferredKnowledge of adult learning principles is a plusKnowledge of pharmaceutical systems used for sales execution & implementation is strongly preferred (e.g. ACTO, Veeva, iEngage)Education / Certifications (essential):BA/BS degree is required, an advanced degree would be a plusLanguage(s) (essential):Fluent in English.CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position is $143,250 - $210,100This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program.
