What You Will Be Doing:

As the Training Coordinator, you will create, administer, and coordinate the processes and systems that support the training, development and compliance of YES employees. This role will be the primary contact for training questions and enrollment. You will also be responsible for data management, collection, and analytics.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
  • Welcome new hires and create a positive onboarding experience by assigning, monitoring and verifying completion of new hire training.
  • Monitor all employee safety training for completion; notify employees and managers when training is expiring or required.
  • Provide support to Human Resources with New Hire Orientation
  • Maintain and distribute New Hire check sheets for all employees, follow up for completion at the 30/60/90-day marks
  • Provide employees with training and support on company-wide systems, as needed
  • Coordinate events associated with Training: Scheduling, enrollments, waitlists, room reservations, lodging coordination, catering set up, billing, and payments, along with providing and monitoring training resources.
  • Maintain and update LMS: creating courses, updating training records, marking training complete, reset passwords
  • Will be the systems administrator for training, including implementation, process improvement and general upkeep (LMS and training websites)
  • Create and distribute reporting associated with compliance, safety and training.
  • Work with Safety and Yancey Bros Co Training Department on safety/training content and vendor needs
  • Provide safety and compliance information to employees as needed.
  • Maintain the required supplies and general work area of the Training Department
  • Assists instructors, as needed, with training activities or implementation
  • Work with Safety Coordinator/Manager in an administrative capacity, assisting with required safety and compliance filings for the store.
  • Work with Human Resources on ad hoc projects.
Education/Experience:
  • One to two years as a training coordinator or administrative assistant; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the coordination of activities like training.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar.
  • Proven organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Intermediate (or better) computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Advanced Excel skills (using pivot tables, formatting tables/graphs, creating formulas, vlookup/hlookup).
  • Ability to communicate successfully via phone, email, and in-person to customers, technicians, and management.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, customers, agencies and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Prior experience handling hotel reservations, catering events and organizing meeting rooms for small and large groups
  • Able to act as Help Desk support on systems currently used by the Training Department to the end user
Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment:
  • Typically works in a temperature-controlled office.
  • At times may be exposed to loud noises, vibrations, strong odors, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents.

Physical:

  • Will require appropriate Personal Protection Equipment to be worn when in the shop environment.
  • Able to lift, carry, and lower up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

  • May be required to travel to other Yancey locations, but not a normal occurrence.
