Job Title: Training Coordinator

Job Description

Salute is a leading provider of cutting-edge Data Center Infrastructure Services, dedicated to serving data center clients worldwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training & Development Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Position Summary

The Training Coordinator oversees all administrative documentation pertaining to certification programs within a mission-critical data center environment. Reporting to the Data Center Manager, this role ensures operational readiness by managing employee development, technical certification, and compliance alignment across all teams. The coordinator partners closely with client representatives to ensure all training initiatives meet site-specific and contractual requirements, while maintaining accurate records, certification renewals, and audit-ready documentation. This role demands a proactive leader capable of driving workforce performance, consistency, and accountability through a structured and continually improving training framework.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinating training programs that support operational readiness and site-specific safety and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with leadership and department heads to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
  • Manage onboarding documentation and refresher programs to ensure continuous competency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with client representatives and Salute leadership to align site-specific training with client-driven requirements and safety standards.
  • Monitor/Coordinate/Document instructor-led, online, and practical training sessions to ensure engagement and learning retention.
  • Certification & Compliance Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive database and repository of training records and certifications to support internal tracking, client discovery, and lender audit requirements.
  • Track certification renewal schedules, ensuring timely completion of recertifications and required refreshers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all required licenses, credentials, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews of certification compliance and coordinate renewal processes with staff and external training providers.
  • Ensure all training meets or exceeds local, state, federal, and client regulatory standards.
  • Program Coordination & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between site management, Salute corporate training, and the client’s training organization.
  • Provide regular reporting to site leadership and client representatives on training completion rates, compliance status, and certification renewals.
  • Collaborate with client training teams to review materials, schedule sessions, and align training calendars with operational requirements.
  • Support audits and site visits by providing accurate and organized training documentation and metrics.
  • Maintain transparent communication between Salute teams, clients, and third-party trainers to ensure program consistency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related technical field (Associate’s degree with relevant experience may be considered).
  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating training programs in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or technical operations.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, safety standards, and industry regulations (OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute)
  • Experience in workforce management and compliance development
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining certification programs, training records, and compliance reporting systems.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), training documentation platforms, and reporting software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and client representatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and move safely within an operational data center environment as needed during training activities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
