Job description

The State Accounting Office (SAO) provides accounting and financial reporting expertise for the State and is statutorily responsible for statewide financial reporting. The SAO also provides enterprise oversight and management of the State's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, accounting policy development, financial business process improvement recommendations, and management of the payroll and accounting shared service centers.
Under general supervision, the Training and Development Specialist 2 will be responsible for performing end-to-end instructor-led training for in-person and virtual training sessions. The successful candidate will also assess, plan, coordinate and provide reports for training sessions and technical training activities.

Training& Development Specialist2 - (GSP121)
Pay Grade: I
Salary Range: $38,452.58 - $50,142.29
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience providing educational, training or instructional services in functional area; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Training & Dev Spec 1 (GSP120).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivery of quality in-person and virtual training as assigned by creating an interactive and engaging learning environment
• Provides learner support by addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and reinforcing key concepts, while also developing and updating training content as needed
• Monitor performance and utilize feedback to continuously improve training delivery and support
• Collaborate with technical and functional team members to document steps necessary to complete assigned training topic(s)
• Develops instructor led, eLearning training content and supporting materials assigned to support multiple modalities and using a variety of tools
• Works closely with the Learning Management System tracking enrollments, completions, evaluations and assessments
• Collaborates with team members and leadership on utilizing instructional design strategies to provide quality training solutions to our agencies
• Recommends training delivery methods based on agency requirements
• Assist with the development of training schedules
• Reviews training feedback and participant adoption/outcomes to determine and implement needed improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related area
• 4 years as a Workday Training and Development Specialist
• Experience using Articulate Storyline
• SharePoint experience
