About the Role:

As the Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the education and development of our clinical and non-clinical staff. You will design, implement, and evaluate training programs to ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional care to our residents. This role combines leadership, education, and clinical expertise, offering a fulfilling opportunity to impact the lives of both staff and residents positively. You will also be responsible for the nurse schedules in the facility.



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for staffing schedule in building
  2. Responsible for overseeing recruitment in building
  3. Responsible for train staff in building


Training and Development: Create and facilitate training programs, including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education initiatives.

Compliance Management: Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and adhere to regulatory compliance.

Onboarding Excellence: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, providing education and support during their transition.

Infection Control Leadership: Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Supportive Leadership: Mentor staff, promote a culture of learning, and provide hands-on training to enhance clinical competencies.

Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to identify training needs and address skill gaps.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of training sessions, staff certifications, and compliance audits.


Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), Education, or a related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  2. Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred.
  3. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical or educational role within a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
  4. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  5. Infection Control Certification: Preferred but not required.
