Job description

Ready to join a small, fast-moving brand-side team with agency-level ambition?
Good Sam is the world's largest community of RVers, connecting millions of outdoor enthusiasts through travel, community, and lifestyle. We are building a full-funnel brand, from awareness and culture-building through performance, conversion, and retention, and great writing is at the heart of everything we make.
We are seeking a Copywriter to write across the full Good Sam marketing stack. You will work across campaigns, social, email, paid media, experiential, and more as part of a lean, fast-moving in-house team. A genuine connection to the outdoors and the RV lifestyle is not just a nice-to-have, it will make you better at this job.
If you believe words move people, that the RV lifestyle deserves world-class storytelling, and you want to help build something meaningful at scale, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Brand Copywriting
  • Concept and write copy for integrated campaigns across social, digital, video, paid media, OOH, and experiential, from taglines and scripts to headlines and CTAs.
  • Develop brand voice copy that captures the spirit of the RV lifestyle, adventurous, community-driven, and grounded in the real experiences of Good Sam members.
  • Write long-form content, stories, articles, and brand narratives, that earns attention, builds emotional connection, and compels people to keep reading.
  • Contribute to creative concepting alongside art directors and the broader creative team, bringing copy-led ideas to the table from brief through execution.
  • Write copy for Good Sam rallies, RV shows, and brand activations, event signage, scripts, on-site materials, and moments that speak directly to the RV community.

Email & CRM Copywriting
  • Write email campaigns end-to-end, subject lines that drive opens, headlines that pull readers in, and body copy that moves people to act.
  • Develop copy for triggered and lifecycle email programs, onboarding, retention, re-engagement, and membership campaigns, maintaining brand voice across every touchpoint in the CRM funnel.
  • Partner with the CRM and marketing teams to concept and iterate on copy based on performance data, testing subject lines, CTAs, and messaging to improve engagement and conversion.

Social & Digital Copywriting
  • Write platform-native copy for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, captions, hooks, scripts, and overlays that earn attention in the first two seconds.
  • Write paid media copy across Google, Meta, programmatic display, and native, balancing performance intent with brand voice.
  • Support creator and influencer briefs with copy guidance, talking points, and messaging frameworks that keep brand voice consistent across partner content.

AI & Innovation
  • Use AI writing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper) to accelerate copy iteration, brief development, and concept exploration, without sacrificing originality or brand voice.
  • Stay current on AI capabilities as they apply to content creation and bring practical applications to the team's workflow.

Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of copywriting experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range, brand campaigns, email, social, long-form, and performance copy.
  • Proven ability to write across the funnel, from awareness-stage brand copy to conversion-focused email and paid media.
  • Strong email copywriting chops, subject lines, headlines, body copy, and CTAs that drive measurable engagement.
  • Fluency in social-first writing, platform-native hooks, captions, and scripts that earn attention organically.
  • Experience concepting alongside art directors and contributing ideas, not just executing briefs written by others.
  • Comfortable working at speed across multiple projects simultaneously in a lean team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AI writing tools in a real production environment, not just casual experimentation.
  • Genuine connection to the outdoors, camping, or the RV lifestyle is a meaningful plus, this community is specific, and the best writing will come from someone who gets it.
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
