As an intern with the Electrification and Automation (EA) division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow - all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Customer Service Training Internship beginning in May or June 2027. This position will be based at our Raleigh, North Carolina office location.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing AI-generated training content using the Synthesia platform to support Customer Portal adoption and SieOps process training.
  • Converting knowledge articles, process documentation, and work instructions into training videos, learning paths, assessments, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to capture requirements, validate content, and improve training effectiveness.
  • Creating and maintaining standardized templates, training assets, and knowledge management frameworks.
  • Supporting training content governance, content libraries, and continuous improvement initiatives that promote scalable knowledge transfer across the organization.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Project Management, or a related field and approaching completion of the required educational credentials for this opportunity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and digital tools, including AI-based applications.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
  • Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in AI, digital learning, training development, change management, business process improvement, or digital transformation.
  • Experience creating presentations, training materials, videos, or instructional content.
  • Familiarity with video editing, content creation tools, or learning management systems.
  • Experience working on team projects in a professional, academic, or extracurricular setting.
  • Interest in customer service operations or knowledge management.

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 per hour for first time Interns or $25.50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
