Job description

The Training & Quality Coordinator will provide a wide variety of quality and process-related activities including supporting document control.  This role reports to the Craft Training Lead Supervisor and works daytime hours Monday through Friday.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage the Maintenance document control system, ensuring that documents are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support plant-wide audits as a member of the internal audit team.
  • Assist external auditors with information requests and corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage the calibrations of tools through an internal system.
  • Understand and implement procedures to comply with Davenport Works Business Quality Plans.
  • Provide salaried and hourly training presentations for Quality Systems components for new employees.
  • Manage DPW’s Learning Management System (LMS) including training requests/ changes, training assignments, team hierarchy, reports and system/user issues.
  • Track OJT hours for up to 75 apprentices and probationary employees
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining safety and maintenance training records for Central Maintenance.
  • Administer the department’s electronic training records system, ensuring training gaps are identified and addressed. 
  • Act as the Local Area Network (LAN) Manager – assisting new employees with ordering / obtaining access to necessary hardware and software.
  • Update and manage departmental website. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience Microsoft Office
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management from an accredited institution
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access) and MS Outlook
  • Experience with a LMS or database system
  • Ability to multi-task and interpret, analyze and compile data in a user-friendly format
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
