POSITION OVERVIEW

The Corporate Trainer is a restaurant-based leadership role focused on developing strong teams and delivering excellent raining experiences within Slim Chickens restaurants. This role supports restaurant teams by coaching Certified Trainers, assisting with Manager-in-Training development, and helping restaurants maintain Slim Chickens training standards.
Corporate Trainers are high-performing restaurant leaders who are passionate about developing people and preparing future restaurant leaders. They are often top-performing Shift Managers or Certified Trainers who are ready to expand their leadership impact beyond a single shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Training & Team Development

  • Coach and support Certified Trainers to ensure consistent and effective team member training
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new team members
  • Support Manager-in-Training (MIT) development by reinforcing operational standards and training progress
  • Help maintain a strong culture of coaching, feedback, and development within restaurants
  • Identify future trainers and leaders within restaurant teams

Restaurant Training Standards

  • Support restaurants in maintaining Slim Chickens training standards and procedures
  • Reinforce proper execution of training materials, procedures, and brand standards
  • Assist with training for new menu items and operational updates
  • Help restaurants maintain Certified Training Restaurant (CTR) expectations when applicable

Coaching & Leadership

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and operational excellence
  • Provide real-time coaching to team members and trainers
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to support team development
  • Help create a positive and motivating training environment

Communication & Training Coordination

  • Communicate training progress, opportunities, and challenges to restaurant leadership and the Field Training Manager (FTM)
  • Provide feedback on trainee performance and readiness
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to align training priorities with operational needs
  • Escalate training gaps or operational challenges that may impact training success
  • Maintain clear communication with FTM regarding training initiatives and restaurant support needs

Work Environment:This role works primarily in restaurant environments supporting training and operations. Corporate Trainers actively coach teams during live restaurant operations and may occasionally support training initiatives in other restaurants.

Slim Chickens Systems, Principles, and Objectives:Has a thoroughunderstanding of Slim Chickens' established operating systems (e.g., quality, safety, company policies, guest experience) and the professionalism needed to uphold them. Recognizes the responsibility to stay updated on these systems and the role this position plays in supporting and reinforcing them.

Physical Activities:Primarily performed in a restaurant environment with occasional time spent in an office setting. Involves facilitating MIT training, supporting CTRs as needed, and ensuring operational excellence. Requires engaging with Team Members, Managers, Operators, and Franchisees, coaching in real-time, and making decisions that enhance Guest and associate satisfaction.

Travel:Some travel between restaurants may be required.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year restaurant leadership experience preferred
  • Experience as a Certified Trainer or Shift Manager strongly preferred
  • This position requires the ability to work in restaurant operations during peak business hours, actively coaching and supporting team members during live service.

Skills:
