Job description

Job Description Step into a critical field role where your cementing expertise and safe driving skills keep high-value oilfield operations running smoothly. This is a contract position offering a consistent 15 days on / 6 days off rotation in Midland, TX, with housing provided to support your time on location. About the Role: As a Cement Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of cementing equipment on oil and gas well sites.

You'll play a key role in executing cementing jobs to specification, working closely with field supervisors and crews to ensure quality, safety, and reliability in every operation. Your performance directly impacts well integrity and overall project success. Key Responsibilities: Operate cementing equipment and related pumps, mixers, and bulk systems during field jobs in accordance with company standards.

Perform safe rig-up and rig-down of cementing units and associated equipment at well sites. Execute cementing operations following job programs, ensuring correct volumes, rates, and pressures are maintained. Conduct pre- and post-job equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure readiness and reliability.

Load, unload, and transfer bulk cement and additives, ensuring proper handling and inventory control. Complete and maintain accurate job-related documentation, including equipment logs and job reports. Drive heavy equipment and trucks to and from job sites in compliance with DOT and company safety policies.

Work closely with supervisors and crew members to support safe, efficient field operations and respond to changing job requirements. Key Requirements: Proven experience operating cementing equipment in oilfield environments. Strong knowledge of oilfield cementing procedures and job execution practices.

Demonstrated ability to safely rig-up and rig-down cementing units and related equipment. Comfortable working a rotational schedule of 15 days on / 6 days off in a field-based role. Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and address basic equipment issues.

Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to company and regulatory standards. Ability to work in outdoor, physically demanding conditions and in varying weather. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a field crew.

Desirable Skills: Experience with both manual and automatic transmission heavy trucks. Familiarity with digital job reporting systems and electronic logging devices. Prior exposure to high-pressure pumping operations or other pressure pumping services.

Experience working in the Permian Basin or similar oilfield regions. Qualifications: Valid CDL Class A with no restrictions (manual or automatic). Clean driving record that meets company and DOT requirements.

High school diploma or GED (required). Formal oilfield or cementing equipment training (preferred). Current H2S, OSHA, or other relevant safety certifications (preferred).
