Position Highlights:

        Start Date: September 14th, 2026

        Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

        Training Location: Texas Health Pavilion, 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011

        Training work hours: Full-time, Day Shift, may include some weekends and holidays.

        Post Training Pharmacy Technician work hours: Full-time; Days, Evening or Nights with rotating weekends and holidays.

        Upon successful completion of the program, the Trainee will transition into a Pharmacy Technician role.

        Must be available to attend the 8-week Trainee Program, Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Pre-hire Fees for the Program:

        Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Trainee Registration Fee: $55

        Fingerprint Fee: $50

Post Hire Fees:

        Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam Fee: $129

        Upgrade from Pharmacy Tech Trainee to Pharmacy Tech with TSBP Fee: $84

Here's What You Need:

        H.S. Diploma or Equivalent

        Pharmacy Technician Trainee through Texas State Board (required)

        RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician within 6 months (required)

        Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computer, and basic math

Here's What You Will Do:

        A Pharmacy Tech Trainee with Texas Health will ensure accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must also reflect consistently departmental QI and PS standards, programs and initiatives.

        In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Pharmacy Tech Trainee will

        Provide timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.

        Communicate effectively, develop working relationships and role model teamwork.

        Manages own time and share the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage).

        Complete other duties as assigned.
