The RN for the Indiana WIC Program plays a key role in supporting pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding families through compassionate, client-centered care. This position provides evidence-based breastfeeding support, nutrition assessments, tailored education, and community referrals while maintaining a welcoming clinic environment. The nurse will also represent WIC through community outreach, collaborating with local partners, and promote healthy feeding and nutrition practices. Responsibilities include accurate documentation, creating individualized food prescriptions, ensuring confidentiality, and participating in staff training and meetings. This role is ideal for an RN passionate about community health, education, and making a meaningful impact on families. Main clinic locations are in Spencer and Martinsville, IN.
This is a part-time position working 16 hours weekly.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
