This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility and the ability to work from the comfort of your own home in California. Our team operates in a supportive virtual setting that encourages collaboration, communication, and continuous learning. Although the work is performed remotely, you will have regular access to supervisors and medical professionals via virtual consultations to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Provide clinical social work services, employing effective psychotherapy techniques to offer support to adults, children, and families facing emotional and social issues in a hospice setting.
• Complete programmatic reports and ensure accurate data entry into the AWARDS electronic health record system to facilitate seamless patient tracking and compliance.
• Coordinate recruitment events for interns and trainees, overseeing their onboarding process and ensuring their adherence to required university and agency documentation.
• Facilitate in-person and telephone consultations on clinical matters, especially during crisis situations, ensuring timely intervention when needed.
• Participate in strategic planning and implementation of clinical program objectives, ensuring alignment with service delivery standards and policies.
• Maintain organized client files in accordance with agency compliance requirements while providing psychotherapy services as dictated by patient needs.
• Engage in regular performance evaluations of interns, supporting their development through feedback and guided learning experiences.
• Conduct training workshops for interns and collaborate with University faculty to ensure that all clinical practices meet current federal, state, and county regulations.
• Contribute to ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, auditing clinical documentation and compliance with organizational policies.

Your primary focus will be on clients in hospice care, addressing the multifaceted emotional challenges they face as they navigate end-of-life issues. These may include grief, anxiety, depression, and family conflict, requiring a sensitive yet effective approach. You will work closely with the patient, their families, and other healthcare professionals to create a supportive environment that fosters open communication and emotional healing.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
• Valid, independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• Proficiency in providing telehealth services, with a reliable internet connection being essential.
• Current residency in the United States.

• Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or similar settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AWARDS, is a plus.
• Experience in training or supervising interns is beneficial, given the collaborative nature of the team.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
