Multi- Certed NDE Level II Technician - Houston, TX

Intertek is searching for a Multi-Certed NDE Level II Technician to join our Industry Services team working out of our Houston/Clear Lake office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Industry Services!  Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team provides asset life management support to infrastructure, facilities, and equipment through the conception, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning phases. Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis to provide you with Total Quality Assurance.

     What are we looking for?

The Multi-Certed Level II Technician will support the Industry Services business by performing assigned inspection activities to ensure that an object, material, or system complies with applicable codes, standards, and specific job requirements. We're looking for an experienced Technician with a minimum of 3+ years' experience.

What you'll do:

  • Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTfi): Applicable to film interpretation of radiographs, evaluation of the Radiographic Method, and overall evaluation of radiographic film to applicable codes and standards acceptance criteria.
  • ASNT Level II testing & inspection in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • The Level II Technician should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the Methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
  • The Level II Technician shall be able to organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
  • Adopt an Intertek "Marketing and Sales" attitude in all client, vendor, employee, and outside contacts interactions.
  • Actively pursue continuing technical education courses or seminars.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be qualified and certified as an ASNT Level II in Radiographic examination (Code Quality)
  • ASNT Level II certification in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT.
  • Minimum of 3+ years field experience
  • Hold a valid State card (required)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
  • TWIC Card (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a physical exam
  • A mindset of safety first.

 Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • CR experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing.
  • The ability to solve technical issues in the field.
  • Rope Access certification a plus
