Job description

Acuren Inspection is looking for Rope Access Technicians with NDT expertise to support our operations in Borger/Sunray TX for project/turn around fall work Preference will be given to candidates with an NDT or mechanical trades background.  

The Rope Access NDT Techs are responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned under the supervision of higher-level rope access technicians.

The Rope Access technicians are responsible for managing the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize work functions specific to rope access jobs, and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights. The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.

  • Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
  • Be conversant with relevant work techniques
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of level III 
  • Assist other technicians as required
  • Ensure operational safety of all equipment

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification required
  • A thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications, and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and hauling and advanced rescue techniques
  • A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician working within a variety of industrial environments.
  • Current first aid certification
  • A valid drivers' license is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
  • Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions
  • Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment
  • Experience in report writing preferred
