Job description

Trainee Pharmacy Dispenser

No experience? No problem! Are you looking to kickstart your career in healthcare? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team as Trainee Pharmacy Dispensers at Voy, a rapidly growing specialist distance selling pharmacy based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire (United Kingdom).

This role requires no prior pharmacy experience. We are looking for people who are keen to learn, and we offer full on-the-job training along with good career progression.

In this role, you will provide invaluable support behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth preparation, assembly, and packaging of orders in our modern facility. Because we are a digital pharmacy closed to the general public, you will enjoy a focused environment with no face-to-face customers, phone calls, or commissioned pharmacy services to manage.

This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a booming digital health company. You will work directly with a friendly, supportive on-site team while collaborating with our wider support network in London. We are deeply invested in your futureโ€”Voy will fully fund GPhC-accredited training courses to help you progress your career in pharmacy, all while you enjoy a casual, fun, and fast-paced atmosphere.

What You'll Do

  • Accurate Order Preparation: Learn to efficiently assemble, package, and prepare pharmacy orders to ensure patients receive their treatments accurately and on time.
  • Warehouse Operations: Support essential warehouse-based tasks, maintaining an organized and seamless workflow across the pharmacy floor.
  • Leverage Cutting-Edge Tech: Learn to utilize our custom-built digital pharmacy system and operate our advanced robot packaging system (full training provided).
  • Maintain High Quality Standards: Uphold strict health and safety protocols, ensuring precision and exceptional attention to detail with every order.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in fully funded, GPhC-accredited training courses to continuously build your pharmacy skills, obtain formal qualifications, and progress your career.

Who You Are

  • No Experience Required: We provide complete, structured training from day oneโ€”all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • Detail-Oriented & Accurate: Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and a high level of concentration, ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • A Fast Learner with a Growth Mindset: Keen to dive into the world of digital pharmacy, absorb new information quickly, and build a long-term career.
  • Tech-Savvy or Tech-Curious: Comfortable using or learning new software; you will be working with custom systems and robotics.
  • A Collaborative Team Player: Thrives in a casual, close-knit team environment and communicates effectively with both local and remote colleagues.
  • Reliable and Commutable: Able to reliably work on-site from our Wallingford, Oxfordshire location.
  • Able to commit to full-time hours, ideally across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

What We Offer

  • Full Training & Clear Career Progression: Complete on-the-job training, CPD, fully funded GPhC qualifications, and mentorship to help you grow your career in a rapidly evolving company.
  • Work-Life Balance: Full-time hours with flexible scheduling options.
  • Health & Wellness: Private medical insurance, plus a comprehensive gym and wellness benefit via Wellhub.
  • Time Off: 25 days of annual leave, plus generous parental leave.
  • Connection: Regular team events to keep our culture fun and connected.

Please note: Candidates must have independent, permanent Right to Work in the UK full-time. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role either now or in the future.
