Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to support our hospital client in Texas. This leadership role provides direct support to the Director of Pharmacy and pharmacy leadership team, ensuring optimal daily operations, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The right candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic planning, and a passion for patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring department efficiency and productivity.

  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership in planning, developing, evaluating, and adjusting pharmacy services.

  • Ensure the proper use and functionality of pharmacy information systems.

  • Oversee onboarding, training, and development of pharmacy staff.

  • Ensure department policies and procedures are current and followed.

  • Maintain regulatory compliance with pharmacy laws and standards, including The Joint Commission, National Patient Safety Goals, and USP 797.

  • Support budget planning and cost-containment initiatives; generate required management reports.

  • Monitor and support departmental productivity goals; assist with staffing proposals.

  • Direct and communicate key information during shift changes to ensure continuity of care and timely billing.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy (required)

  • Minimum 4 years of hospital pharmacy experience (required)

  • ASHP-accredited residency or advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS) (preferred)

  • Active State Pharmacy License (required)
