Job description

Job Title: Well Testing Technician

Job Description

As a Well Testing Technician, you will be responsible for rigging up, operating, and rigging down well testing and flowback equipment. This includes handling separators, tanks, piping, and valves. You will monitor and record oil, gas, and water flow rates, pressure, temperature, and fluid levels. Additionally, you will identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues during live well operations and manage storage, hauling, and disposal/recycling of produced fluids.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily reports and production data logs.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control procedures.
  • Perform basic maintenance and assist with repairs on oilfield equipment.
  • Participate in Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) and other equipment safety procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in well testing and flowback operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with oilfield tools.
  • Experience in repair and overhaul of mechanical systems.
  • Effective communication skills and data management abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with separators, power tools, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in oilfield, mechanical, or industrial field is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working physically demanding shifts around pressurized systems.
  • Willingness to learn and advance within oilfield operations.
