As a Medical Terminology Instructor, you'll help students develop the essential vocabulary and understanding needed to succeed in a variety of healthcare professions. Your instruction will build the confidence and knowledge students need to communicate effectively within clinical settings and continue their education in healthcare programs.

What You'll Do
As a Part-Time Medical Terminology Instructor, you will provide engaging instruction that helps students master the language of healthcare and develop a strong understanding of medical vocabulary, anatomy, physiology, diagnostic procedures, and common healthcare terminology.
Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with approved curriculum.
  • Teaching medical terminology using word roots, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviations, and anatomical terminology.
  • Helping students develop proficiency in healthcare communication.
  • Creating a positive, organized, and student-centered learning environment.
  • Assessing student learning through assignments, quizzes, examinations, and classroom activities.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing individualized support and feedback.
  • Preparing instructional materials and maintaining accurate student records.
  • Reinforcing professionalism, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure instructional consistency and student success.
  • Supporting continuous program improvement while incorporating current healthcare terminology and industry standards.

What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have:
  • A background in healthcare, medical assisting, nursing, health sciences, or a related medical profession.
