Job description

Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Kaiser Permanente

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to work in a high-volume reference lab with Kaiser Permanente in North Hollywood. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for new graduates to gain valuable experience in the field.

EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SPECIALTIES IS REQUIRED: MOLECULAR, BACTERIOLOGY, AND MICROBIOLOGY

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • Proficiency in laboratory, chemistry, and medical laboratory procedures
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm OR 3pm-11:30pm, weekend work when needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tests in the area of microbiology and other assigned sections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a high standard of laboratory operations.
  • Perform complex automated and manual clinical laboratory testing, delivering accurate and timely results that directly support patient care.
  • Independently manage quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and instrument maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and test methodologies while identifying and resolving technical issues in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory leadership to provide expert consultation on test utilization, methodology, and result interpretation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr.
