JPS Health Network has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years, now covering a population of 3.5+ million. As well as being the county's health network and first Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS is an urban teaching hospital with a long and storied history of training physicians, APPs, nurses, social workers, psychology interns, medical students and others. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation. JPS Psychiatry and Behavioral Health services are designed around a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrically trained Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Social Workers, Psychometrists, Support Specialists, technicians, and other staff that are experienced and committed to excellent, highly collaborative care.

Job Summary:
This is a clinical position in an academic environment, with a focus on contributing to the overall healthcare needs of patients within the JPS Behavioral Health Service. Broadly, the psychologist will spend a majority of time in psychological assessment of adults (psychodiagnostics and ADHD assessment) and psychotherapy activities, with some time assigned for supervision and mentoring of learners, interdisciplinary team consultation, and administrative work. The psychologist will provide services to patients receiving treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders in a fast-paced outpatient behavioral health clinic. The psychologist will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members as needed to ensure high quality patient care. The psychologist may be asked to supervise mental health learners in the provision of mental health care. As needed, the psychologist will also participate in administrative and quality of care efforts within the JPS Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Service and the JPS Health Network more broadly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide individual psychodiagnostic assessment services as assigned
Provide evidence-based individual, group, and/or family interventions or therapy or as required and appropriate.
Collaborate with all other team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care. Make appropriate patient referrals as necessary. Maintain a collaborative environment with physicians, psychologists, clinical staff, and support teams. Support academic, educational, and research initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
Consultation & Collaboration
Serve as a psychological consultant to medical and behavioral health teams, offering expertise on mental health conditions and treatment approaches.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support integrated care delivery.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers to promote understanding and engagement in treatment.
Academic, Educational & Research Support
Contribute to the education and supervision of psychology trainees, medical students, residents, and fellows as requested.
Support or participate in research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional goals.
Provide educational presentations and workshops on mental health topics for staff and community stakeholders as requested.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with institutional policies.
Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines governing psychological practice.
Engage in peer review, performance improvement, and continuing education activities to maintain clinical excellence.
Monitor care guidelines to ensure compliance with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group standards.
