Blossom Healthcare Center is currently seeking an NIGHT RN supervisor. Must have extensive RN management experience.

RN Duties Include:

  • Responds to emergencies involving the Resident or unit
  • Communicates with families regarding the Resident's plan of care and any changes in the condition of the Resident.
  • Receives and communicates information to the staff and keeps Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of needs and current developments.
  • Supervises the RN, LPN, and NA trainees during the orientation period and/or delegates this responsibility to the Shift Supervisor or Registered Nurse on the designated shift.
  • Completes the performance appraisals of RN's and LPN's, collaborating with the Shift Supervisors on appraisals for evening shifts
  • Conducts nursing (quality) rounds monthly and as needed on all shifts.
  • Educates staff, oversees the implementation of new policies and procedures and periodically reviews current procedures, working in collaboration with the DON/ADON on Development as needed.
  • Handle all supervisory duties for the unit.
  • Establish employee policies and procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice.
  • Establish the standards of care for the unit.
  • Review Resident records & quality of care.
  • Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases.
  • Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families.
  • Ensure the department is well-stocked with medical supplies.
  • Represent the unit's interests with the upper level management.

RN Requirements Include:

  • Minimum 2 years Long-Term Care Experience.
  • Minimum 1-year Unit Manager experience.
  • Must hold valid RN License. (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
