Why Join Us?
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician in Indianapolis, IN. We are a veteran-friendly organization and strongly encourage military veterans to apply. You will work independently from your home base, providing expert support for electromechanical equipment. This is a hands-on role where you will be the "go-to" technical expert for our customers.
CNC experience is not required for this role, we are seeking a strong electromechanical technician who is willing to be trained. Candidates with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, 3-Phase Power, Schematics, Preventive Maintenance, Multi-meter, and Sensors have performed well in this position.
What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
  • Install & Test: Perform post-installation testing to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Train & Educate: Conduct on-site training for customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety.
  • Document: Accurately log service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions.
  • Travel: Manage a regional travel schedule with regular overnight stays to support customer sites.

What You Need
  • Education: 2-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military technical experience or demonstrated experience in the maintenance field.
  • Experience: Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and training for electromechanical troubleshooters is provided; proficiency with PLCs is a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics; skilled in using diagnostic tools (gauges, test indicators, force meters).
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; capable of working independently.

Why You'll Thrive
  • Growth & Mentorship: We don't just hire for what you know today; we invest in your potential. You will receive comprehensive training to master our systems, with clear paths to advance into senior technician, lead, or specialist roles.
  • Meaningful Impact: You'll be the go-to expert solving complex technical challenges that keep critical infrastructure running. Every day offers a new environment, new customers, and the satisfaction of seeing your repairs deliver immediate results.
  • Balance & Support: We provide stable, year-round work with reliable schedules. You will work independently with the full backing of an experienced field support team, ensuring you have the resources you need to succeed in the field.

Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive compensation package with overtime potential.
  • Comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision).
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match.
  • Professional development and ongoing training on new technologies.
