Job description

SUMMARY
Leads an internationally recognized research program in cancer neuroimmunology and symptom science, conducting translational research to define tumor-neural-immune interactions and improve cancer outcomes and symptom burden.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Research - 90%
• Lead a research program in cancer neuroimmunology focused on tumor neural immune interactions and symptom science.
• Utilize advanced methodologies to drive mechanistic and translational discovery.
• Publish high impact research, secure sustained extramural funding, and maintain strong national and international visibility.
• Mentor trainees and build collaborative, interdisciplinary research programs.
Education - 5%
• Teach and develop graduate and medical education in neuroimmunology, cancer biology, and translational science.
• Mentor and supervise students, fellows, and research staff across training levels.
• Contribute to curriculum development integrating mechanistic and patient-centered research.
Administrative - 5%
• Lead and manage research operations, personnel, and funded programs.
• Contribute to institutional service, committees, and strategic initiatives.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations aligned with departmental priorities.
