Sun River Health provides the highest quality of comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all who see it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable.Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County.

Sun River Health is currently seeking bilingual Dental Assistant Trainees for its Dental Assistant Training Program in Spring Valley. Upon successful completion of all exams and courses requirements and clinical hours, the trainee will receive a Certificate of completion in Chairside Dental Assistant.

Program Requirements:

  • Candidate will need to successfully complete didactic Training through Penn Foster.
  • Must complete 140 clinical hours
  • Trainee will be expected to travel to assigned sites in selected region.
  • Upon successful completion of course a certificate of completion will be issued.
  • If a candidate does not pass competencies, exam and training expectations their status as a trainee can be terminated.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

This program requires a two-year commitment to Sun River Health. If the commitment is not fulfilled, you will be required to repay the tuition.
