Job Summary

The Data Analyst supports a federal program by analyzing large, complex datasets, developing analytical models, applying statistical techniques, collaborating with stakeholders, and communicating findings in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and actionable insights.
  • Perform data mapping, cleaning, structuring, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Conduct entity resolution across large datasets.
  • Develop and implement analytical models and algorithms.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, including statistical sampling, regression analysis, link analysis, geospatial analysis, social network analysis, and data mining.
  • Conduct research and develop analytical conclusions based on financial or other large-scale datasets.
  • Review incoming data mappings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop repeatable analytical workflows and clearly document code, methodologies, and findings.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, analysts, and business users to understand requirements and support mission objectives.
  • Communicate project status, analytical findings, recommendations, and support needs to senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear conclusions, including the impact and relevance to the customer’s mission.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachlors degree & 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience working with large-scale data environments containing financial transactions or similarly complex and sensitive datasets.
  • Strong experience with Python, Jupyter Notebook, R, NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, mapping, and validation.
  • Experience performing entity resolution on large datasets.
  • Strong foundation in statistical methods and advanced analytics.
  • Ability to design and implement analytical models and algorithms.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and code-sharing practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business users and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience analyzing financial transaction data, including wire transfers or other complex financial datasets.
  • Familiarity with international financial messaging and payment systems such as SWIFT or CHIPS.
  • Experience working with regulatory, financial intelligence, law enforcement, government, or other sensitive datasets.
  • Experience combining multiple data sources, including open-source information, web-derived data, financial data, government datasets, and classified data.
  • Experience developing documented, repeatable analytical processes and workflows.
  • Experience working within secure or classified analytical environments.
