Molding Technician 2nd shift
OTTO's opportunity:
Our Molding Technician 2nd shift is a senior position responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process. This includes, but is not limited to setup and tear down, troubleshooting, training, equipment maintenance and workflow.
Specifically, the Molding Technician 2nd shift will:
  • Perform all tasks of the Molding Machine Operator and Molding Technician Trainee positions as needed
  • Setup molding machines per production schedules
  • Confirm proper material use, per BOM's
  • Perform quarterly material inventory
  • Assist in reduction of scrap
  • Perform advance Tool changeovers as required
  • Run samples and formulate process
  • Assist in maintaining departmental Routers
  • Trouble shoot complicated processing problems
  • Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
  • Training of new employees
  • Optimize existing processes
  • Demonstrate leadership skills

What you'll need to bring to the table:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-year Injection Molding experience
  • Experienced with tool changeovers
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Shoulder height with assistance as necessary
  • Reliable attendance
  • Ability to differentiate between colors
  • Available for nonstandard or extended work schedules
  • Good communication skills
  • Moderate personal computer skills
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and their use

The hiring range listed in this posting is what we, in good faith, anticipate relying on when confirming an hourly rate for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of at-level experience.
  • Target hourly hiring range: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Profit Sharing Bonus - OTTO believes that it's fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTO's profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
  • Vacation:five days after 30 days of employment and 80 hours at 1 year - vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
