DESCRIPTION:

As anEstimatorat Fisk Electric, reporting tothe Chief Estimator,you will have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for multiple systems on Technical, Health Care or Industrial projects

  • Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M

  • Understand the concepts and process of conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M

  • Review the scope specified within the proposal and ensure estimates include appropriate scope

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and proactively identify deficiencies and/or questions; actively assist the project team toward the answers

  • Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes

  • Proficient with estimating software

  • Working knowledge of McCormick and Bluebeam

  • Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Review Estimate take-offs

  • Understanding and familiarity with NEC

  • Mentoring Estimator Trainees & Estimator 1 staff

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four year Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related career experience

  • 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor

  • One plus years recent Electrical Estimating experience with on-screen take-off experience preferred

  • Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department's computer systems and software
