  • Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide educational and behavioral support to children and young adults with special needs. Working closely with BCBAs, teachers, therapists, and school staff, you'll help students achieve behavioral, academic, and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management and intervention strategies as directed by the BCBA and educational team
  • Support students in achieving behavioral and ABA goals outlined in their IEPs
  • Assist with academic instruction under the supervision of classroom staff
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary
  • Review and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Accurately collect and document behavioral and academic data
  • Support speech, occupational, and physical therapy development plans
  • Assist students with daily living and self-care skills, including toileting, personal hygiene, and clothing routines
  • Provide support across various school environments, including:
    • Classrooms
    • Playgrounds
    • Lunchrooms
    • Gyms
    • Sensory rooms
    • Libraries
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Complete all required documentation and training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and clinical staff
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Preferred
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience
  • Experience working with children with behavioral or developmental needs
  • CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB clearance, health certificate, and required screenings (if applicable)
