Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with Canon/Toshiba CT system experience for a community hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details
  • Work in a community hospital CT department with 2 procedure rooms
  • Daily caseload of approximately 50 patients
  • Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER cases
  • CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTAs
  • Uses Canon/Toshiba CT scanner and PACS system
  • Epic/Excellian charting system used
  • Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday required with flexibility on remaining two days
  • Every weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • May float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
  • ARRT and BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Canon CT system experience required
  • PACS experience required
  • IV start experience preferred
  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, OR, ER, and community hospital settings required
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
  • Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
  • Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions
  • Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills required
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift as a perm or per diem employee
  • Local candidates accepted for this radiology position without radius restriction
  • RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
  • A minimum of 1 supervisor reference is required for consideration
  • Fingerprinting via LiveScan is required as part of Minnesota state compliance and may require travel to an approved location
  • Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
