Poste:
Le chef de train devra effectuer des mouvements de wagons, assembler ou diviser le train, etc. Il sera membre d’une équipe de travail qui effectuera du travail dans notre cour de triage ou se déplacera sur notre territoire afin pour de servir nos différents clients.
RESPONSABILITÉS :
La personne sélectionnée s’acquittera des fonctions suivantes :
- Gérer et contrôler les mouvements de wagons en utilisant des signaux par lanternes, mains, drapeau ou communication radio pour indiquer quand débuter et/ou arrêter le mouvement et relâcher les freins pneumatiques.
- Manœuvrer les aiguillages (vérifier visuellement l’état et la direction de celles-ci) afin de changer la direction pour le mouvement du train à l’intérieur de la cour de triage ou bien sur la voie principale.
- Appliquer ou relâcher les freins à main afin d’effectuer un mouvement.
- Suivre la liste de travail en respectant l’ordre des wagons sur le train.
- Préparer des rapports journaliers ainsi que les listes de mouvement, manuellement ou bien de façon électronique.
- Inspecter l’état/condition du train.
- Suivre et respecter les différentes règles et procédures de sécurité ferroviaire, normes de Transport Canada, etc.
- Interagir avec les autorités ferroviaires.
- Travailler de manière sécuritaire.
- Exécuter toutes autres tâches connexes.
COMPÉTENCES ET/OU EXPÉRIENCE SOUHAITÉES :
- Détenir un diplôme d'études secondaires V.
- Posséder de l’expérience ou une formation comme Chef de train (atout important).
- Maîtrise du français à l’oral et à l’écrit.
- Être en mesure de s’adapter à différentes situations : horaire de travail, être sur appel, heures supplémentaires, tâches physiques à accomplir, etc.
- Être prêt à travailler dans des conditions météorologiques parfois difficiles.
- Être prêt à travailler sur appel, 24/7, fin de semaine, nuit, etc.
