Jail Operations Support plays a crucial role in providing services within the adult jail facility. This position is a non-security position that supports all jail operational efforts but does not directly supervise inmates. This position requires a strong commitment to regulations and procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.

Position includes working nights, holidays, and weekends.

Annual Salary: $44,396 – $48,620 *Additional salary growth available through regular increases within the classification up to $61,299

Benefits: Excellent health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, paid holidays, plus additional pay for working holidays. Opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities:

1. Medication Administration:

o Accurately administer prescribed medications to inmates following established protocols.

o Document medication administration and any observed side effects.

o Report adverse reactions promptly to nursing staff.

2. Operational Support:

o Assist in various areas of the jail on an as needed basis.

o Train for security control operation, records entry, and court records management.

o Assist with deliveries, procurement, and logistics for the facility.

o Assist with internal operational functions.

3. Emergency Response:

o Assist during emergencies within the facility.

o Follow emergency protocols and provide immediate support as directed.

4. Collaboration:

o Work closely with security staff, medical staff, and administrative staff.

o Communicate effectively with team members and facility staff.

5. Security Awareness:

o Understand security protocols and maintain situational awareness while working in a correctional setting.

o Follow safety guidelines to prevent incidents.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

· Confidentiality and ethical conduct are essential.

· Valid drivers license
