Job Summary:  Perform all phases of moving trailers and lot management as outlined below in an efficient, timely, professional manner.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform daily driving assignments as directed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Receive frequent daily instructions from and communicate with all departments effectively via cell phone, email or one-on-one.
  • Organize and maintain lot for New, Used, Lease, and Service as requested by department managers. Maintain lot daily so it stays neat and orderly. Trailer rows will be straight and aligned with accurate spacing between them.
  • Complete truck inspection at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of yard truck. Check Fluids daily and report and repair mechanical problems immediately.
  • Assist the shop supervisor, manager, and technicians with daily production activities and needs.
  • Keep Trailer Drop area empty daily. Park all incoming trailers in their appropriate location.
  • Utilizing software, receive/check in trailers for all departments.
  • Clean-up trash/debris in our lot daily. Perform daily shop safety inspection and shop sweep sheets.
  • Monitor bulk supplies and notify supervisor to prevent shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer service area, shop employee’s locker room, and office.
  • Maintain and keep inventory of all shop tools and air compressors.
  • Assist technicians with minor repairs (after all other tasks are complete).
  • Assist with snow removal; keep snow clear from customer units (as needed).
  • Categorize and recycle scrap metal, bulk fluids, cardboard, and skids.
  • Operate forklift and perform daily checklist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Education - High school diploma or GED; 3-6 months related experience/training preferred


Physical Environments:

  • Noise levels are moderate to high at times.
  • Physical exertion is moderate to heavy, must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
  • The employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a jockey truck.
