How much do traffic flaggers make?

Traffic flaggers typically earn between $12 and $20 per hour, with the national average around $15 per hour. Pay can vary based on experience, location, and whether they work full-time or part-time, often requiring safety training and certification. Overtime and seasonal work may also affect earnings.

Is being a traffic flagger hard?

Traffic flagger jobs involve directing traffic at construction sites or accidents, requiring alertness, good communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The job can be physically demanding and may require certification in flagging safety procedures. Overall, it is considered a straightforward role but demands attention to safety protocols and situational awareness.

Where do traffic flaggers get paid the most?

Traffic flaggers tend to earn higher wages in regions with a higher cost of living and greater demand for construction and roadwork projects.
